Estimator

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively participate in developing a bid strategy for each new proposal.

• Create bid lists and make subcontractor solicitations.

• Develop scopes of work when required.

• Prepare detailed project estimates.

• Clear and professional communication with subcontractors, owners & design team.

• Compare and analyze bid results.

• Review and qualify subcontractor proposals on bid day.

• Prepare a complete bid package meeting each client’s requirements.

 SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

•  Minimum of 3 years experience performing  preconstruction services and estimating for a variety of negotiated and competitive bid projects.

• Commercial construction experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering would be ideal.

• Strong preconstruction skills, including estimating, communication, quantity survey, value engineering and constructability reviews.

• Proficient computer skills including estimating and industry specific software.
